Blooming Grove turns 125 – Parade & Celebration Planned
The City of Blooming Grove will be celebrating it’s 125th birthday with a festival marking its incorporation as a city in 1890.
The Blooming Grove 125th festival will kick off on Saturday, May 30 at 11 a.m. with a parade through town.
Following the parade there will be several food vendors on hand and a variety of activities for children and families including interactive, vehicle and public safety displays and demonstrations.
Starting at 5 p.m. there will be a free concert and “Basketball Court” dance at the Doc Garrison City Park featuring the Ira Bradford Band.
The parade’s organizer, Gary “Yig” Patterson said, “weather permitting, there will be some special surprises”.
