Blooming Grove rolls on with 47-12 win over Life Oak Cliff

DUNCANVILLE – Blooming Grove improved to 2-0 on the season with a solid 47-12 win over Life Oak Cliff.
The Lions got on the scoreboard first when Tyler Ellis connected with Juanya Pyburn for a 6 yard touchdown pass to put the lions up 7-0.
Pyburn made a beautiful one-handed catch as he was going out of bounds. Both teams were slowed down in the first half by penalties and turnovers.

Early in the second quarter Ellis connected with Pyburn again for a 62 yard touchdown pass. Ellis scored again on an 8 yard run to put the lions up 19-0 to close out the half.

Blooming Grove ran the ball 30 times in the second half wearing down the defense of Life Oak Cliff. Penalties again slowed both teams. The Lions had two touchdowns called back, one was a 92 yard pass called back for a personal foul. In the end the lions tough running put the game out of reach.
