Blooming Grove ISD Superintendent

Blooming Grove ISD Superintendent

Greetings,

On Monday and Thursday this week I spent watching my youngest play softball. As I watched her play and I was introduced to people in the community, I can truly state without hesitation that my children and myself have been warmly greeted and have felt welcomed into your community, so I thank you as a community for opening your arms to me and my children.

Staff Appreciation Week

This week is deemed as ‘Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week.” I want to thank the members of First Baptist Church for the hard work cooking hamburgers and hotdogs for our staff this week.  I also want to extend a word of thanks to the PTO and all of our parents at each campus that provided the awesome food on each campus throughout the week.

Baseball Playoff

I want to extend a word of congratulations to the Lions on making the playoffs. Today at 7:00 p.m. in Waco the lions will play Little River Academy. Good luck to the Lions as the make their ‘march’ to the State Playoffs.

State Track Meet

Next Saturday at 1:00 p.m. in Austin on the campus of University of Texas at Austin, Tyler Baumgartner will be representing Blooming Grove in the 400. Great job to Tyler and if you get a chance come out and support Tyler as he works to bring home the Gold Medal.

Community Garden

This week I took time to view our Community Garden and was impressed with the idea behind the garden. In order to enhance the collaboration between the school and the community next year we will be integrating into our Ag curriculum and having the high school students’ partner with the Elementary science students working together on parts of the Community Garden.

Board Election

Election Day voting will be on May 9th and you can vote at any polling location in Navarro County as long as you have any driver’s license.

I want to thank you once again for allowing me to serve as your Superintendent, if at any time you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.
